Double-Pole BMC – Four Housing Sizes / Multiple Colors

Double-Pole BMC are available in four (4) housing sizes. Each Double-Pole BMC size is available in multiple colors. As a safety feature, each color has a specific mechanical key slot. This provides an intuitive visual cue and mechanical fail-safe, preventing cross-mating connectors. Therefore, This feature eliminates the potential hazard of mating devices of different voltages.

BMC Overview

• Double-Pole BMC connectors feature a durable one-piece thermal polycarbonate housing integrating stainless steel spring backplates to maintain consistent “contact force” between mated contacts, ensuring low resistance and high-electrical efficiency. The two sides of a Double-Pole BMC connector are identical.
• This genderless connector can be flipped 180 degrees and mated with an identical housing.  This provides quick and easy assembly while reducing costs by eliminating the need to purchase, maintain and store different SKUs, simplifying critical inventory management.
• The Double-Pole BMC series of connectors come in 4 housing sizes (Small, Medium-small, Medium, and Large) with each housing size supporting multiple electrical contacts (AMP) options.  Each of the 4 housing sizes is available in multiple colors, each with a specific mechanical key slot. This provides an intuitive visual cue and mechanical fail-safe, preventing cross-mating connectors and devices of different voltages.
• All the connectors are UL-rated to 600 volts. Contacts are traditionally silver-plated to minimize electrical resistance while offering exceptional durability and reliability.
• Please note all standard housings and contacts can be purchased separately or in combination sets.

Two Housing, Multiple Colors

Double-Pole BMC GX Series builds on the capability of the standard Double-Pole BMC Series, Each of the two housing sizes is available in multiple colors,  each with a specific mechanical key slot. This provides an intuitive visual cue and mechanical fail-safe, preventing accidental cross-mating, and therefore eliminating the potential hazard of mating connectors of different voltages.

Two Auxillary Ports

In addition to two standard primary power contacts, GX housings support capacity for 2 auxiliary power/signal poles.

Double-Pole BMC Sealed Series (IP67) Overview

In extreme environments where high power and waterproof protection are required, KST has you protected. The connectors are IP67 rated (waterproof) ensuring the connectors are able to withstand water for up to 30 minutes at depths of 1 meter under mated conditions.

Non-conductive swing latches & tabs ensure connectors remain seated and sealed and safeguard against accidental disconnection due to extreme vibration.

Externally mounted cable clamps secure the cable to the housing and provide stable wire management.

It is important to note that unlike the KST standard and GX series of Double-Pole BMC, KST’s Double-Pole BMC WP Series are not genderless, and come as separate male and female combination sets.

This provides an intuitive visual cue and mechanical fail-safe, preventing cross-mating connectors and devices of different voltages.

Gendered Housing Solution

It is important to note that unlike the KST standard and GX series of Double-Pole BMC, KST’s Double-Pole BMC WP Series are not genderless, and come as separate male and female combination sets.

2-Pole 050 BMC Sealed Connectors (Small) are the smallest power connectors of this IP67 certified series.

Each housing securely holds two power contacts designed with swiping technology.

This housing supports electrical contacts with 12-10, 8 & 6 AWG Barrel sizes supporting current ratings of 35, 45, and 50 Amps respectively.

2-Pole Sealed 120 Connectors (Medium-small) are a wire-to-wire IP67 certified solution.

This housing support electrical contacts with 6, 4 & 2 AWG barrel sizes supporting current ratings of 80, 100, and 120 Amps respectively.
